Dr. Paresh Dawda
MB BS DRCOG DFRSH FRACGP FRCGP
A General Medical Practitioner with a portfolio of roles spanning clinical, leadership, academic and consultancy domains. As a clinician he leads organisations and provides services for people with complex and chronic conditions across the ACT including those with disabilities, residing in aged care and palliative care. He has been a Regional Medical Director for a corporate provider with a focus on rural and regional health. As a leader he provides specialist advice to the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation and NSW eHealth on broad issues with a primary care lens. As an academic he has Professorial level affiliations with the Business School of UNSW and the Faculty of Health at the University of Canberra. He has authored multiple influential papers and is the Editor-in-Chief of BMJ’s Integrated Healthcare Journal. As a SME and consultant, he has advised Commonwealth Government, State Governments and PHNs in Australia and designed and delivered programs internationally and nationally on high performing primary healthcare organisations, co-design, service improvement and system integration. The golden thread that weaves through his diverse interests is a passion for person-centred care. He has developed the first purposefully designed person-centred care general practice.
